"Sound is the medicine of the future”, by Edgar Cayce which introduces the topic of today pretty well. Sound has a powerful influence on our lives and it can be very therapeutic, helping us clear blockages, evade stress, and return to balance. We are going to be focusing on Gong baths and what the science behind them means in practice.

The benefits of sound baths range from physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. They include better sleep, reducing chronic pain and blood pressure, lowering cholesterol as well as the risk of heart disease. It has a balancing and clearing effect on the mind, leading to a new sense of purpose, well-being, calm and happiness. Deep relaxation is one of the most important and universal benefits of sound therapy. The sounds penetrate our system and bring it back into balance. It is good to breathe into this sensation to let go and accept it; at the end of the session, people usually end up in a very relaxed state.

Sounds and vibrations trigger thoughts and feelings. When "a healing" takes place, one may feel physical sensations such as a tingling in the hands or a feeling of heat or cold. The sensation of a flowing flow of energy may also come over. A feeling of floating, lifting off is also possible.

With the gongs, there is a whole sea of different sounds. Some are quiet, sublime and beautiful, while some are frightening, coming right up to your face. All of these trigger memory responses in you that allow you to release or remove energetic blockages. Some people experience deep healing during sound therapy as the sound vibrations open, clear and balance their chakras and release stuck energy. It could also be described as an energetic deep tissue massage that leaves one feeling balanced and recharged.

Repeated gong baths

bring even more valuable results for clients, and they’re well aware about it from my experience. With repeated gong baths, the experience of the bath goes deeper and deeper, beyond all stories and preferences, beyond our ideas of who we are, into a space of awake receptivity that descends further and further into a gentle stillness that is nothing other than spatial awareness. Without even trying, just by participating in gong baths and learning to journey through the millions of memories, images and sounds, we foster an accepting and loving attitude toward life. This attitude will affect everyone you come in contact with. From strangers to spouses, from colleagues to children. This is not a small thing. It's a huge deal, and the best part is that you don't have to do anything to achieve it. You just show up and it happens. (#gongbath #dream #soundbath)

A gong bath is an opportunity to take a moment for yourself. Within a very short time, you will be transported into a space of silence and inspiration. When it's over, a lot of people report it feeling like they’ve just been laying for a short 10 or 15 minutes, even though the gong bath lasts a whole hour, or even more in some cases! The gong bath takes away your sense of time. It is fascinating, amazing, and always different.
